Meet George Ergo: genius, entrepreneur and soon to be the world’s first 12-year old billionaire. George Ergo popped into my mind at a cafe in Amsterdam in September 2016. Before I knew it, the other Ergo family members appeared, and within a matter of months, a comic strip was born.

I’m starting this blog not only to showcase my comic strips, but also to present the organic evolution of a comic strip, complete with all the sketches, scribbles and doodles that went into it.

The style of Ergo keeps getting closer and close to how I envision it. Above is the third iteration of the debut comic strip. I created a new font, and loosened the lines a bit. Though I currently only publish about one comic strip a week, I’ve been doing a bunch of writing. About 300 ideas have been written down, and the characters are really coming to life for me. George’s dad, Rick, has developed from a static fatherly character into a chaotic short fiction writer. George has become a little bit more childlike in his appearance, since I wanted to balance his extreme ambition with the fact that he’s still only a 12-year-old kid.
